Current Management Systems

Bins around workshop for general waste.

These bins are emptied into the larger skip without sorting.

Sink in resin room which has liquid waste poured down it.

Dust extraction system which runs to most dust producing machines.

Leads to an outside skip.

Steel trolley for collecting wast steel to be recycled.

We put a steel collection trolley in the studio so people could use it during a cleanup.

3D Workshop Waste Management Assessment

Questions to workshop staff:

How do you deal with waste in the 3D workshop?
Where does the waste come from?
What groups of waste are there?
Are some of these groups difficult to deal with? - why?
Where do you see room for improvement?
Are there times, throughout the year, when more of one group of waste is produced than another?
What materials make the bulk of waste in the workshop?
What are the most popular items purchased from the workshop store?
What do you know about the Massey waste policy?
What is the company responsible for waste removal? - When do they come?
What do you think we can do in our project?
