About formaldehyde

General conclusion -
    MDF is manufactured using mainly pine but can contain other fibres. Logs are first debarked, then blended, cleaned and refined. The fibres are then mixed with wax and resin (the resins chemical makeup is determined by the products intended purpose post manufacture) before being processed through presses, cut, and shipped.

About Foam

Foam is produced trough a chemical reaction between the ingredients. It is a basic A + B mixture which expands to about 15 times the volume.

A biodegradable polystyrene equivalent (green polystyrene) which is made from sugarcane.





The green foam used in the 3D workshop for modelling is a polyurethane foam mixed with glass fibre. This type of foam is often used as filler for raising roads, filling gaps etc. as well as sanding blocks.
